Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2025

1. Overview

JSON Suite ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our website and tools.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data through our tools. All JSON processing, formatting, conversion, and comparison happens entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. No data you paste, type, or upload is ever sent to our servers or any third party.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data including:

  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Browser type and device information (model, screen resolution, operating system)
  • Approximate geographic location (country, region, and city level)
  • Referral source (how you found us)
  • Language preference

Granular Location & Device Data: We have enabled granular location and device data collection in Google Analytics. This means city-level location metadata and device details (such as device model, screen size, and OS version) are collected to help us understand which devices and regions our users come from, so we can optimize the site accordingly. This data is anonymous and aggregated — it cannot be used to identify you personally.

This data is aggregated and anonymous — it does not identify you personally. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish unique users. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and opt out of Google Analytics.

Ads Personalization: Ads personalization is enabled in our Google Analytics configuration. This means Google may use aggregated audience data from our site to help deliver relevant ads to users across Google's ad network. We do not run ads on this website, and we do not directly use your data for advertising. You can opt out of ads personalization at any time via your Google Ads Settings.

Google Signals: We have enabled Google Signals in our Google Analytics configuration. When Google Signals is active, Google Analytics may collect additional data about visitors who are signed in to their Google accounts and have consented to ads personalization. This may include associating visitation information with Google account data (such as search history, YouTube history, and location). This data is used to provide aggregated demographic and interest insights about our audience. We adhere to the Google Advertising Features Policy. You can control or delete this data via My Activity, and you can opt out of ads personalization in your Google Ads Settings.

User-ID & User-Provided Data: Our Google Analytics configuration supports User-ID and user-provided data collection features. However, we do not currently send any user-IDs or user-provided data (such as email addresses or phone numbers) to Google Analytics. We do not require user accounts or sign-ins to use our tools. Automatic user-provided data detection is enabled in our Google tag, which means if any user-provided data (such as an email address) is present on a page, Google may automatically collect it in a hashed, privacy-safe format. Since our tool pages do not contain forms that collect personal information (except the Contact page), this feature has minimal impact. We adhere to the User-Provided Data Feature Policy and confirm that we do not operate in sensitive categories as defined by Google's policies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy accordingly.

4. Advertising

We may display advertisements on our website through Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. This helps display ads that may be relevant to your interests.

How it works:

  • Google uses the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on your browsing history
  • Third-party vendors (including Google) may show our ads on sites across the Internet
  • Cookies are used to serve ads based on your previous visits to our website
  • No personal data from our JSON tools is used for ad targeting — ads are based solely on general browsing behavior

Your choices:

  • Opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings
  • Opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info
  • Use browser extensions like uBlock Origin to block ads entirely

For more information about how Google uses data from sites that use their services, visit Google's Partner Sites Policy.

5. Cookies

We use:

  • localStorage — to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode), editor settings, and recent inputs. This data never leaves your browser.
  • Google Analytics cookies — to distinguish unique visitors and track site usage anonymously.
  • Google AdSense cookies — to serve relevant advertisements and measure ad performance.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics — for anonymous site usage analytics
  • Google AdSense — for displaying advertisements
  • Ahrefs Analytics — for SEO performance monitoring
  • Cloudflare CDN — for loading open-source libraries (CodeMirror, SheetJS)
  • Google Fonts — for loading the Inter typeface

These services may log standard web request data (IP address, user agent) as part of their normal operations. We have no control over their data practices.

7. File Uploads

Files you upload or drag-and-drop are read locally by your browser using the FileReader API. They are never transmitted over the network. Files are not stored anywhere — they exist only in your browser's memory during your session.

8. Your Rights

You can:

  • Opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
  • Clear localStorage in your browser settings to remove all saved preferences
  • Use your browser's "Do Not Track" setting

9. Children's Privacy

Our tools are intended for developers and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
